# Nested exception is org.elasticsearch.indices.IndexMissingException:

Getting the following error( have masked the application name with xxxx)

27-Mar-2017 17:16:19.650 SEVERE [http-nio-8080-exec-10] org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapperValve.invoke Servlet.service() for servlet [rest] in context with path [/xxxxxx] threw exception [Request processing failed; nested exception is org.elasticsearch.indices.IndexMissingException: [4] missing] with root cause  
org.elasticsearch.indices.IndexMissingException: [4] missing

Elasticsearch 1.7.1 . Any ideas on this?
