# New data source mysql

Hey

I need your help please  
I try to connect new data source mysql  
The DB is also local in the same server

How I can do it?

Kibana is only able to work with Elasticsearch. You can make it work by setting up Logstash to continuously indexing your data from MySQL into Elasticsearch using the jdbc input: [Jdbc input plugin | Logstash Reference [7.13] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-inputs-jdbc.html)
