# Newbie to ES - CURL inquiry/help

Having an issue saving a visualization as mentioned in the below post that's been closed, however, needing help converting the solution provided to curl since the newer versions no longer have the bigdesk and desk plugins available. Thanks in advance!!

Why not use Kibana and Console?

But this is what it would look like with curl;

```auto
    "index": {
    "blocks": {
    "read_only_allow_delete": "false"
    }
    }
    }'

```

Thanks. Don't know what you don't know until someone points it out! 🙂 Just jumped to v6.x from much older versions. Although a couple of years late, nice feature! Thanks again.
