# Next filebeat alpha version

We are interested in using the add\_docker\_metadata feature of filebeat, and a new alpha version of filebeat has not been released after that enhancement was added. Just to be clear, the add\_docker\_metadta was added in alpha2, but there was an enhancement which was added after that to make it usable with filebeat - [https://github.com/elastic/beats/pull/4495](https://github.com/elastic/beats/pull/4495). Is there any timeline that can be provided for the next alpha or bet version of the 6.0 release of beats?

Hi @shyampr, we don't publish release dates but you can expect the next one in a few weeks.
