Hello, I am use kafka, zipkin ,elasticsearch in trace system.

My `elasticsearch.yml`

```auto
xpack.security.enabled: true
network.host: MY_IP
xpack.security.transport.ssl.enabled: true
xpack.security.transport.ssl.verification_mode: certificate
xpack.security.transport.ssl.keystore.path: certs/elastic-certificates.p12
xpack.security.transport.ssl.truststore.path: certs/elastic-certificates.p12
xpack.security.http.ssl.enabled: true
xpack.security.http.ssl.keystore.path: certs/elastic-certificates.p12
xpack.security.http.ssl.truststore.path: certs/elastic-certificates.p12
xpack.security.transport.ssl.keystore.password: 123456
xpack.security.transport.ssl.truststore.password: 123456
xpack.security.http.ssl.keystore.password: 123456
xpack.security.http.ssl.truststore.password: 123456
http.port: 9200
```

After execute
`java -DES_HOSTS=https://MY_IP -DEDES_INDEX=bos-dev-log -DSTORAGE_TYPE=elasticsearch -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=elastic-certificates.p12 -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=123456 -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=PKCS12 -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=elastic-certificates.p12 -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=PKCS12 -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword=123456 -jar zipkin-server-2.19.1-exec.jar`

elasticseach shows error as below

The logs you have posted are from zipkin, not from Elasticsearch, so I'm not sure if many people in these forums can help you with these. How about you send us the logs from elasticsearch instead ?

Also , you mention `No cipher suits in common` in the topic but I don't see this anywhere in the logs you sent us. Maybe some part of your post didn't make it through ?

Generate certificate steps

```auto
2.bin/elasticsearch-certutil cert --ca elastic-stack-ca.p12
```

I start zipkin use the command as below.

1. You haven't setup Elasticsearch to require client TLS authentication on the HTTP layer so you need to remove the

```auto
-Djavax.net.ssl.keyStore=elastic-certificates.p12 -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword=123456 -Djavax.net.ssl.keyStoreType=PKCS12
```

part from when you are running zipkin.

1. It's not clear what TLS version Zipking tries to use to talk to Elasticsearch, but you can probably force it to use TLSv1.2 with ` -Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2`

In summary, try to run zipkin with

```auto
STORAGE_TYPE=elasticsearch ES_HOSTS=https://MY_IP:9200
ES_USERNAME=elastic ES_PASSWORD=123456 ES_INDEX=bos-dev-zipkin java
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=elastic-certificates.p12
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword=123456
-Djavax.net.ssl.trustStoreType=PKCS12
-Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2
zipkin-server-2.19.1-exec.jar
```

</div>

I am remove the part and add `-Djdk.tls.client.protocols=TLSv1.2`,but still **No cipher suits in common**
then
I add `-Djavax.net.debug=all` check the detail

I think these logs from zipkin may help.

```auto
what's more , zipkin still prints log like `javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: error:10000410:SSL routines:OPENSSL_internal:SSLV3_ALERT_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE`
what can I do to resolve the problem?
hope for your replay , great thanks
When reporting an error, please add the full log lines with stacktraces etc. and not a single phrase or your interpretation of the error.
```auto
Ignoring disabled cipher suite: SSL_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA

```
these are fine, it just prints that it ignores some disabled ciphers, this is normal.
I can't help you with zipkin, I'm sorry, I know nothing of it.
- Are you running elasticsearch and zipkin on the same host ?
- Are you using the same java installation for both ? If not what Java versions are you using ?
