# Node\_disconnected\_exception - while trying to get data using Scroll Api

hi all , we are trying to get data from es , using scroll api . where we try to use scroll\_request to get scroll id and scroll data but some large indices , its failing

```auto

Error :
 node_disconnected_exception , 'status': 500
'root_cause': type': 'node_disconnected_exception',

We will need more information to be able to help.

What version of Elasticsearch are you running?  
What do the logs on the master node show when you get this error?
