Hy guys
Is it possible to get the number of shards on e particular node?
I can't find anything in the \_stats. Of course shards per index is listet

My toughts are:
We run a ES cluster, not bad in performance (atm...) and i try to keep things well and fast. i need to monitor the amount of shards on each node. If its reach a limit (...my rule of thumb: 1GB heap per 20 shards) of 600 shard i get a alarm to add more nodes or RAM (less than 30GB..).

Is this a idiot approach? what do you recommend for a proper capacity management?
