# Not able to see watcher option in kibana using entrerprise edition

Hello All,

I'm unable to see watcher option in kibana and using enterprise edition.  
I want to configure alerts based on some string or if certain condition meets.For this watcher is required, but unable to see that option under alerts and insights -kibana 8.8.2.

Not sure what exactly need to be done.Any suggestion would be helpfull.

Hi @PRASHANT_MEHTA

It looks to me that your user / role you are logged in as does not have full privileges as it seems you are missing a number of capabilities ..

For Watcher you need to have the built in `watcher_user` role you may want need the higher privilege role of `watcher_admin` See built in roles [here](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/8.8/built-in-roles.html)

This is a really slimmed down role that I added that built in role
