# Not able to start KIBANA getting following error:"not sending \[kibana\_settings\] monitoring document because \[undefined\] is null or invalid."

Not able to start KIBANA getting following error:

Hmm, had you taken any actions inside of Kibana or was it just when you first started it up? Which version of Kibana are you using?
