# Not connecting http://localhost:9200 on Windows 2016 and Elasticsearch 5.6

Installation went well and elasticsearch service is running.  
[http://localhost](http://localhost) is good.  
[http://localhost:9200](http://localhost:9200) - I received IE browser username and password prompt. I tried to reduce security, but that is not going away and cannot browse. error screenshot is attached on this.  
I started kibana, and ikibana installation throws error. So I think some elastic communication is not working. This is Azure IaaS VM. Elastic search and Kibana are running on same server. Looks like 9200 is listening.. Any thought on this?
