**Elastic Cloud Enterprise**
**Kibana version 8.5.3** :

**Elasticsearch version 8.5.3** :

**APM Server version 8.5.3** :

**APM Agent language and version 8.5.3** :

**Browser version** :

**Fresh install or upgraded from other version? Upgrade from 8.x, not sure which one**

\*_Have you changed index pattern? I added filbeat-index-name-_ to the Settings section

**Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior. Please include screenshots (if relevant)**:

**Steps to reproduce** :

1. Add filebeat-index-name-\* to the Settings area of the Observability --\> APM --\> Services --\> service name with the thought that this will read from the filebeat-index-name\* index
2. Set timeframe to check logs for the last 7 days, still not seeing specific logs from the filebeat-index-name\*
3. Go to the discover tab, use the data view filebeat-index-name\* and search for the logs over the last 7 days. This locates the logs I'm looking for but they don't come up in the APM Logs tab, this is with **superuser** privileges.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

This is driven by the logs index patterns.

Could you please try to set up your index pattern in Logs -\> Settings -\> Log sources?

Thanks,
Giorgos
