# Optimizing Checkbox State Handling in @elastic/react-search-ui to Prevent Unnecessary Re-renders

I found this conversation ([Link](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/react-search-ui-is-remounting-its-children-on-state-or-prop-update/254501)) from 2020 that seems to be the same issue - has anyone ever found a way to prevent this?
