# ParseException: Cannot parse '\*field:foo': Encountered " ":" ": ""

Hi all,

I'm using elasticsearch 1.3.4 and noticed that if query like "\*field:foo"  
is given (via Kibana), elasticsearch throws exception as below.

Why this happens?
