# Password Policy Setting for users in kibana X-pack

Hello friends,  
I want to know how I Can configure password policies like password complexity, minimum length, ... for users in Kibana with X-Pack.

Assuming that you are using the native realm, there is currently an enhancement request for this that is open. See here: [https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/29913](https://github.com/elastic/elasticsearch/issues/29913)

In the meantime, you could always use a realm that supports it. See [this](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/master/realms.html#:~:text=Realmsedit,users%20based%20on%20authentication%20tokens.&text=An%20internal%20realm%20where%20users%20are%20stored%20in%20a%20dedicated%20Elasticsearch%20index.) link for supported realms. A couple that come to mind are Active Directory or SAML SSO (with a provider that supports it).
