# Peoplesoft distributed elasticsearch

It seems that Peoplesoft uses Elasticsearch for some search functions? Our Peoplesoft is on-prem and someone is asking questions....

Is it a current version? I searched the web and only saw references from the Elasticsearch 6.2 era.

Elasticsearch 6.2 is [EOL](https://www.elastic.co/support/eol) and no longer supported. Please upgrade ASAP.
