# Possible to change mapping of field in datastream from text to float

hi,

I have created a datastream and pushing data into it for a while. Recently I started filling a field which was original created as a text but the data are all floats. Can I change the mapping of the string field in the datastream to float? Or can I fix this in the kibana index pattern somewhat?
