# Preventing Kibana from Auto Submitting a discovery search when first coming in

Hi Guys ,
Trying to Modify Kibana so it will not autosearch when i just load it (hence will not auto load \* when i first come into the page) - Anyone knows how to do it ? is it configurable ?

The only way it would be configurable would be to change the default app.
But what is the use case?

Well , Most of the times when we first log in (Kibana sits after an Nginx instance) - the query gives an error and times out , i don't even see the index 0/1 indicator , it only starts working on the 2nd time i press on discover
