# Problem with monitoring clast status in the new version 8.12.1

Hi,  
I updated the cluster to 8.12.1 and noticed that the Cluster Monitoring tab was missing. In addition to the console, how can you check the status of the cluster and other parameters in the new versions, for example, where are certain shards located?

The problem was solved, but not in a very obvious way. As it turned out, disabling fleet in kibana.yml leads to disabling monitoring of the entire cluster.

```auto
xpack.fleet.enabled: true

```

It would be nice if this were described in more detail and clearly in the instructions.
