# Problem with timestamp field

I want to upload a .csv file to elasticsearch but the main problem that i am facing is with the formatting of timestamp field.  
I want to be able to add a field in the format of  
HH.mm.ss.SSS but all i can find is formatting for the 4 types that have been given in the link below.

It'd be great if someone could tell me how can i upload data to elasticsearch with logstash and havig proper time\_stamp formatting.

You can use the format you want

Example

```
filter {
date {
match => ["logdate", "MMM dd yyyy HH.mm.ss.SSS"]
}
}
```
