# Put mapping in couch

Hi  
I am creating my index from couch using river plugin.  
Can you please tell me how to set mapping on my index?

I want index:"not\_analyzed" for one of my field.

Can you please tell me the steps to follow.

Before creating the river, make sure to create the index yourself with the  
relevant mappings.
