# Query about changing localhost to server name on the server

Hi,

I just Installed Elastic Search and Kibana on RHEL 7 server. How can I change localhost to "servername". We don't have Browser installed on the server so want to access Elastic from outside but within Co network.

You mean you want to change what hostname/IP ES listens to? See [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.4/important-settings.html#network.host](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/5.4/important-settings.html#network.host)

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your help. I appreciate that! I was able to use actual host name. I had to fix the warnings during bootstrap check.
