Hi there,

i have a question about boosting.
What is the difference between this type of boosting `"boost": 2` explained here: [Elastic Docu](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/guide/current/query-time-boosting.html)
and this type with circumflex: somefield^2

Regards,
Ahmet

Nothing 🙂

The circumflex syntax is just how boosting is applied in `query_string`, `multi_match` and a few other queries, to allow "inline" boosting. It's required because `query_string` allows specifying multiple fields in the query string, and you may want to boost them independently.

Internally it's the same boost mechanics as a `boost` parameter.
