# Querying hosts from a file

Hello am getting laser from devices using snmp and so far with one device am getting the data very well. I have many hosts and their ips are in a file, how can i query through the file pick ip by ip and for each ip i pick it becomes the host, i use it to get the laser values and go onto the next one.

It's not clear what you mean by laser, but take a look at [https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-filters-translate.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/logstash/current/plugins-filters-translate.html). I think that is what you are after.
