# QueryShardException: No mapping found for \[sortOrder\] in order to sort on

Hi Everyone!  
I connect Fess to external Elastic then have error after created index of fess :  
**QueryShardException: No mapping found for [sortOrder] in order to sort on**

Below is version of Fess & Elastic

Elastic :

Fess Version: 12.5

I removed REM in content of fess.in.bat:

> set FESS\_JAVA\_OPTS=%FESS\_JAVA\_OPTS% -Dfess.es.http\_address=[http://localhost:9200](http://localhost:9200)  
> set FESS\_JAVA\_OPTS=%FESS\_JAVA\_OPTS% -Dfess.es.transport\_addresses=localhost:9300  
> set FESS\_JAVA\_OPTS=%FESS\_JAVA\_OPTS% -Dfess.dictionary.path=D:/option/elasticsearch-6.6.1/config/

Please don't post pictures of text, they are difficult to read, impossible to search and replicate (if it's code), and some people may not be even able to see them 🙂

What is fess?

Also 6.6 is [EOL](https://www.elastic.co/support/eol), please upgrade ASAP.
