I set is reached 1000 documents perform index flip operation, continue to write the index data, set up the "indices. Lifecycle. Poll\_interval" : "1 s", but I find that even at 2000 documents is still not turn over, but when I use the Console to query the alias index, index immediately get flip, give my feeling is without manual query the index es does not update the index document number, don't know where is my set is, or I clustering performance is not enough to cause?

Hi @iridescent233

I just answered a similar question [here](https://discuss.elastic.co/t/rollover-goes-beyond-the-condition/207442/2)

In short ILM is not optimized for such small settings... It will work as expected for realistic settings assuming proper configuration.
