# Question about indexing linestring without distance\_error\_pct

Hi

Indexing `LineString` without specifying `precision` or `distance_error_pct` only hit the query at the start of LineString.  
If precision is specified, `distance_error_pct` is implicitly treated as 0, so I think that distance\_error\_pct is actually involved.  
Is this behavior as expected?  
I couldn't understand this behavior by looking at the documentation, so I asked a question.

A Schema is like this.

- only hit start point of LineString

```auto
{
    "properties": {
        "line": {
            "type": "geo_shape"
        }
    }
}

```

- hit all point of linestring(query return results expected)

```auto
{
    "properties": {
        "line": {
            "type": "geo_shape",
            "distance_error_pct": 0
        }
    }
}

```
