Hi I built some software for my friend which uses elasticsearch. Whole thing that this program does is that it indexes documents and searches in elasticseach thats it. As it's personal project he can't justify paying monthly for servers and wants to run this software on his PC 24/7.
His PC is:
amd ryzen 3800X
64gb ram( will be adding 64 more as he wants to do do light web browsing on it aswell)
nvme storage.
Index I will be performing operations on will have ~650 million documents(which willtake around 750gb-1tb storage) and 30 shards 0 replicas.
Will this PC handle such index or we need to change something(hardware wise)?
Thanks in advance
