# Question regarding using a logo

Hello everyone

I'm creating an addon for an open source project that would essentially be filebeat and will be used to ship logs to user self-hosted elasticsearch cluster/node so they can store and/or analyze logs. I would like to use beats svg logo and filebeat svg logo in addons readme/docs.

I'm talking about ![](https://static-www.elastic.co/v3/assets/bltefdd0b53724fa2ce/blta3a797dfc3d80de3/5d0c1b1977f34fd55839ab58/logo-beats-32-color.svg) and ![](https://static-www.elastic.co/v3/assets/bltefdd0b53724fa2ce/bltfddc59cecbc2daf7/5d082dff96d2d1b65a98192d/icon-filebeat-32-color.svg).

Due to legal concerns I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do so? I've emailed [legal@elastic.co](mailto:legal@elastic.co) but i figure it may take some time for them to reply and hoping to get an answer quicker this way.

This will be open source project and will not be used to make profit.

Pretty sure [Trademarks found on Elastic.co | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/legal/trademarks) would cover that.
