Today we are excited to announce Rally 1.0.0 GA. Please also see our [announcement blog post](https://www.elastic.co/blog/rally-1-0-0-released-benchmark-elasticsearch-like-we-do) This release contains several improvements and bug fixes: We have simplified the track syntax so [challenges are now optional](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/512). We include a [logging configuration file](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/503) now in `~/.rally/logging.json`. Rally can now more [flexibly derive the Java version](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/518) that is needed to run Elasticsearch.
