We have just released Rally 2.1.0. This is a bug fix release but also adds quite a few enhancements. Here are some highlights:

- We added [support for search\_after and point-in-time](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/1190). There are new track operations:[open-point-in-time](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/track.html?highlight=target-data-stream#open-point-in-time) and [close-point-in-time](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/track.html?highlight=target-data-stream#close-point-in-time) for using [point in time](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/point-in-time-api.html) API and [paginated-search](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/track.html?highlight=target-data-stream#paginated-search) operation for executing [paginated searches](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/paginate-search-results.html#search-after)
- Rally now [always requires a subcommand](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/1175). Please also see our [migration guide](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/migrate.html#rally-requires-a-subcommand).
- We updated Rally to [throttle requests from the beginning](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/1199) depending on the schedule. Please see our [migration guide](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/migrate.html#throttling-is-active-from-the-beginning).
- We [deprecated relative-time field](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/1221) and added a new field [relative-time-ms](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/metrics.html?highlight=relative-time#relative-time-ms) which contains the relative time in milliseconds. relative-time will be removed in Rally 2.2.0 and re-introduced in Rally 2.3.0 as relative time denoted in milliseconds. The interim relative-time-ms will be removed in Rally 2.4.0. Please also see our [migration guide](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/migrate.html#relative-time-is-deprecated).
- [Semantics of request-related timestamps](https://github.com/elastic/rally/pull/1214) (e.g latency, service time) have changed to when a request has been sent by Rally. Please also see our [migration guide](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/stable/migrate.html#semantics-of-request-related-timestamps-have-changed).

**Quickstart**

Please follow the [quickstart](https://esrally.readthedocs.io/en/2.0.3/quickstart.html) for a first time install.

**Questions and Feedback**

If you have questions or feedback, please just post in the [Rally forum](https://discuss.elastic.co/tags/c/elastic-stack/elasticsearch/rally).
