# RBAC in Kibana

Hello!  
We 've been using ELK v7.10 and according to the documentation, we should be able to enable RBAC features.  
See: [Securing access to Kibana | Kibana Guide [7.10] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/7.10/tutorial-secure-access-to-kibana.html#_create_a_role)

Nevertheless, there's no `Security` option under `Stack Management` in Kibana.  
Could you please assist us with that ?

you should enable it.

Have you read this [Security settings in Kibana | Kibana Guide [7.10] | Elastic](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/7.10/security-settings-kb.html)?

The explanation is there.

Thank you @79g for the prompt response!  
The document [Create a Role](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/7.10/tutorial-secure-access-to-kibana.html#_create_a_role) didn't mention anything about X-Pack being required.

Based on the above screenshot, the free (aka basic) subscription for Elastic supports RBAC via X-Pack.  
Could someone confirm that ?
