# Real Price of ELK Stack

Hi guys , i'm almost in the production phase of a Project and I have a doubt . How much costs ELK stack ?
Im running the source code of the applications of the stack on a Azure Vm , and i wanna know id i will have any charge in addition to the hosting of the vm ?
I've searched in the web but the response is a little ambigous and i tried to read the license but I didnt understood everything .

If you are using the basic license (default), then there's no license cost.

For Production use I would recommend to use a subscription so you'll have alerting and support. If you are running on Azure already I would concider the managed version. Especially when your environment isn't very big ,it is cheaper than the subscription and saves you the trouble of managing it.
