# Recently upgraded to filebeat 5.0 for beat--\>kafka output. Topbeat has the same?

Says it in the title. I'd like to send my topbeat metrics through kafka, is this something that we can do at this time??

Topbeat has been replaced by Metricbeat, which supports sending data direct to Kafka like all other 5.x Beats.
