# Recovery of ES after crash takes lot of time

Hi All,
We are running 5 nodes ES cluster and each node server 300 shards. We are
creating indices per 4 hours (total number of records inserted in 4 hours =
40 millions).
_Issue:_
Recovery of ES after crash takes lot of time depending upon data and shards
available. We have seen around 15- 20 min recovery time.
How we can increase the recovery time of ES.
