# Regarding Bulk Queue Size

Hi,
Can I ask, is the heap consumption of the bulk queue simply a factor of queue length multiplied by bulk payload size? I ask because I've seen users report very large bulk queue sizes and am wondering how that impacts the heap?
We have a queue size of 800 and bulk sizes of 20-30MB with a heap size on the data node of 16-32GB depending on the cluster.
