# Regarding NanoSecond Timestamps

Hi,  
We have environments running elasticsearch/kibana 7.2.x. We have a need to enable nanosecond timestamps. What will be the effect on kibana of that change as it doesn't seem to be a supported type until 7.3.0?

Hi

In 7.2.x this should be a unknown field type so you can't select it e.g. as a timefield.
