Hi.
If i have a dense vector with int4\_hnsw can i reindex it to default indexing?
should i specify any option for it?

I believe you would like to use [this option](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/dense-vector.html#dense-vector-params)? In 8.15, the default value is int8\_hnsw.

You need to reindex your data. So if you don't define that option when you create the new index, it will be applied anyway.

Yes I ran a test reindex and i saw it is int8\_hnsw
then i put null for index\_options. and just specify `"similarity": "cosine"`.

Thank you
