# Reindex to another cluster

hi all,  
I know that I can use `reindex` API to get index in a remote way. I saw that I can use this API only in one way: from the `new_cluster` I can reach the `old_cluster` to get the index.  
is there a way to do it in the opposite way? from the `old_cluster` I would like to send the index into the `new_cluster`. is it possible?

No, reindex from remote always pulls data.

just one doubt: is there a way to disable on the `old_cluster` the opportunity to invoke it from `new_cluster`?  
I mean, I would like that `new_cluster` is able to contact the old one only when I want it (I don't want to use rule firewall right now)
