# Rename index using script processor

Hello all.
I see in
[https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.5/script-processor.html](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/6.5/script-processor.html)
that "Using the above pipeline, we can attempt to index a document into the any\_index index"
I have made a test and it works. But it is done document by document.
My question is:
In order to rename an index, is it worth working on a pipeline or procedure based on the above or the preferred method is still reindexing?
