# Replicate HOT node

Is there a way to replicate a data hot node to another node to maitain high availability (HA).

The best way to achieve high availability is to [set up Elasticsearch as a cluster of at least 3 nodes and make sure each index is configured with at least one replica](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.16/high-availability-cluster-design.html). Elasticsearch will then automatically replicate data between the nodes.
