# Resetting date filter

Hi, I'm pretty much new in using Elastic and Kibana.

We are sharing some charts and dashboards using iframes, in the iframe the user can click on a data point and that is drilling down the data to that selected date, but how could the user get back to the previous date?

Unfortunately the only way this is possible right now is to have the user refresh the outer url, which will refresh the iframe. This bug has been reported here: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/14000](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/14000)

We do have plans to add a time input control to the dashboard which would make this a much better user experience: [https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/2739](https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/2739)

We also want to expand on our embedded options, to make the drill down affect optionally disabled:
