# Response from X-pack Security for Role Based Control

I am now trying out X-pack security's role based control for document filtering.
After adding users and roles, if a user sends a term query (e.g. by document ID) to a document which he has no access to, will Elasticsearch return an error message or will it just return with 0 search results?
