# Rest client persistent connection

Hey all,

While using low level rest client, a netstat revealed that a large number of TCP connections are in TIME\_WAIT state. While I understand that TIME\_WAIT is a proper TCP state and there is not going to be any immediate problem with it, I'm worried it'll have a performance degradation. Is there a way to make the connections made by the rest client to be persistent so that it doesn't open new TCP connections?
