# Restart improves latencies

We've noticed a weird trend with our ES (6.2.4) cluster. After a few weeks of production work, search latencies begin to deteriorate (about X3 slower in the 95%) . However, a full cluster restart brings things back to normal.
Any idea what's going on here? Is there a way to achieve the same effect without a full restart?

Can you try profiling same query on both time to see ?
