# RestHighLevelClient - Accessing an elastic http endpoint behind reverse proxy

Well, I did find the answer. I should have investigated the API little more 🙂

public RestHighLevelClient elasticClient() {

```
return new RestHighLevelClient(RestClient.builder(
    new HttpHost(elastichost, elasticport, DEFAULT_SCHEME_NAME)).setPathPrefix("/elastic"));

```
