# Restore history

Hi,
I have restored some of snapshot from the backup and I'd like to pull the history of indices restored so that I can run some audit on it. Please help.

can you explain what you mean exactly with `history` in this context? if you mean an exact replay of operations, then this is not possible.

I can pull the snapshot history by running GET /\_cat/snapshot which shows the current snapshots. I'm looking for similar statement to look into the restore history.
