[Index recovery prioritization](https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/7.17/recovery-prioritization.html#recovery-prioritization)
This states that newer indexes are recovered first if priority is not set, by default.
Is there any setting to revert this order. I want older indices to be recovered first.

Typically the newest indices are the ones written to and therefore generally most urgent to recover as they may also not be fully snapshotted. What is your use case since you want to change this behaviour?

The way to control the order is by manually setting/managing the `index.priority` setting.
