# Rollover errors for .kibana-reporting datastream indexes

8.18.3

indexes going back over a year for .kibana-reporting datastream have rollover errors:

`"setting [index.lifecycle.rollover_alias] for index [.reporting-2024-04-07] is empty or not defined"`

in setting:

` "rollover_alias": "",`

These indexes are not listed under the datastream view, i.e. not part of the current datastream.

I tried to delete the indexes from kibana (user elastic, role super user) but I get error:

```auto
action [indices:admin/delete] is unauthorized for user [elastic] with effective roles [superuser] on restricted indices [.reporting-2024-04-07], this action is granted by the index privileges [delete_index,manage,all] 

```

How should I proceed?
