# Rollup a rolled up index

I currently have a rollup job writing to the index **rollup-windows-service** with a 1 hour interval. Using both another rollup and an ILM policy, I want to further roll this data up to a 1 day interval once the data reaches 7 days old.
Do I actually need to used ILM for this? Or can I just specify another rollup job with a delay of 7 days that points at my already rolled-up index?
