I would like to capture Ros logs which is under /home/.ros/logs path. Will i be able to get those logs to Elastic and Kibana thru Filebeat or Logstash? I tried to specify the path in Filebeat.yml, but i still don't see Ros logs in Kibana.

Thank you for support,
Ratmir

Hi @RayKishev,

Filebeat should be able to send logs if you point it to the file. Could you please share your config file and Filebeat logs?

Best regards

Hello @exekias

I'm trying to capture Cpu temp logs using Filebeat. Im running a script which captures CPU temp and stores logs in log file, then Filebeat is picking them up and sends to Kibana.
I can only see the temp data in this format, under message filed and i'm not able to create a Gauge

**t** message {"temperature\_data": { "timestamp":"11/19/2019 10:00:01 AM","cpu0":"64.0","cpu1":"64.0","cpu2":"58.0","cpu3":"75.0","vid0":"27.8

How do i create a separate index for temperature ?

Here is the confoguration in filebeat.yml

#-------------------------- Elasticsearch output ------------------------------
output.elasticsearch:

# Array of hosts to connect to.

hosts: ["Localhost:9200"]

# Optional protocol and basic auth credentials.

#protocol: "https"
#username: "elastic"
#password: "changeme"
#index: "filebeat-temp-%{+yyyy.MM.dd}"
indices:

- index: "cputemp-%{+yyyy.MM.dd}"
when.contains:
message: "temperature\_data"
- index: "filebeat-%{[agent.version]}-%{+yyyy.MM.dd}"
